Hi loves! How has the new year been treating you? I’m back from my trip and gradually getting used to being my own boss for now with the blog! There’s scheduling, planning and brainstorming and it’s been a busy couple of days! I have been trying to figure out how to add more to my haircare regimen lately. Recently, I got to experience a whole new, all-natural haircare range from Himalaya that focuses on preventing hairfall. Read on to know what I thought of the treatment!
Ombre Salon in Indiranagar was where Himalaya launched their new anti-hairfall range. It consists of a shampoo, a conditioner and a leave-in cream specially formulated to help you prevent and control hair loss. If you prefer cruelty-free products with natural ingredients you may want to give this a try!
Some of the ingredients include bhringaraj, which is commonly known as ‘false daisy’. It helps treat scalp dryness, and is rich in minerals that help in promoting hair growth and reducing hair fall. When I was growing up there was this beautiful tree called the Flame of the Forest that I’d see in our colony. Never knew that was a beauty ingredient but it’s part of the Himalaya anti-hairfall range! It helps strengthen your hair and prevent fallout.
At Ombre Salon, one of their hair stylists decided first to check on my hair type. I have dry hair, with a slightly oily scalp and I do have issues with hair fall, mainly because of the hard water in Bangalore, pollution and the stress of juggling a full-time job with blogging all these years. The first thing they did was to use a gentle hair oil that would absorb into my hair follicles and nourish it. I sat back and relaxed as the stylist gently massaged it into my hair and scalp. Massaging has the benefit of stimulating your hair follicles too, and it’s a good way to promote hair growth. I’d recommend doing this at least once a week!
The next step was to steam and let the goodness of the anti-hairfall oil seep in. I can’t tell you how amazing and relaxing this feels. No joke, I started getting a little sleepy and almost dozed off. This step helps the natural ingredients present in the oil to nourish your scalp and get to the root of your hair.
The stylist then took me to wash and condition my hair with the Himalaya Anti-Hairfall Shampoo and Conditioner. She expertly massaged the shampoo to thoroughly cleanse my hair. Followed it up with the conditioner which was left on for about 5 minutes. I was busy chilling and posting every bit of this excitedly on my Instagram stories for you guys in the meantime.
They also have a leave-in cream that smells amazing – you can use it on your damp hair post shampooing or even generally when your hair feels a little dry. Just scrunch a tiny coin-sized amount into your hair and you’re good to go. The stylist finally blow-dried my hair and it felt the silkiest, smoothest and softest it’s been! Take a look!
To maintain the amazingness that is my hair after this treatment, I got this cute little kit that came with a wide-toothed comb and a pretty hair clip too. Let me know in case you want me to review the products individually!
