Since I was a little girl, my family has always underlined the importance of eating a piece of fruit everyday, before or after regular meals. Even now, when I go back home to Gurgaon, it’s so nice to sit with my parents and watch TV, eating crunchy apples, peeling and savouring the tang of oranges or plums and feasting on grapes. Now, after moving to Bangalore, the habit seems to have taken a bit of a backseat. Working for a startup is hectic, and the traffic makes sure you get home super late.
I’ve always maintained that happiness is a combination of two things – the world around you and how you perceive things. Then there’s little things that you normally might not notice, but end up being extra special when you’re not really in a good mood. Sometimes all it takes is the right place, the right person, the right food or the right words 🙂 Here’s my list of things that make me happy!

This week has been pretty interesting – I attended a couple of events including the Bangalore Fashion Week, a food festival and a fruity surprise, all coming up on the blog very soon. I was also one of those chosen for Myntra’s upcoming fashion feature, which I’ll definitely talk about in detail once it’s released!
Today is World Lipstick Day, and to me, honestly, there’s no such thing as too many lipsticks! There are always so many beautiful shades that come out every year from every brand, and I love exploring the different textures and finishes – though if you know me well, you’ll recognize my matte addiction. A good lipstick can brighten up any outfit and if it’s one that lasts too, then you’ve got a winning combination! Here’s my pick of the top 5 lipstick brands and lipsticks shades you could try:
The 13th Edition of Bangalore Fashion Week Winter Festive Online, powered by Snapdeal, was held this year at the Sheraton at Brigade Gateway from 23rd to 26th July. The theme for this year was Streetside Boulevard – an interpretation of trends from the streets of New York, Paris, Milan & London.
The Vogue Beauty Awards recently concluded at a star-studded event in Mumbai, and the results are pretty interesting, with some of the most-loved brands by beauty bloggers making the cut. I personally have certain go-to products that I always keep going back to, but there are lots of products here that I’ve done some research into and decided you should try, and will be reviewing them in the coming months. Let’s look at the Vogue Beauty Awards winners now, shall we?
If you live in India like me, or are in a place with a tropical climate, the monsoon season is in full swing. While the weather can be awesome for some of us, there’s no denying that a lot of skin troubles also have their roots in the monsoon season. Some of these are wild, untameable frizz, oily skin, pimple breakouts and rashes! I have combination skin with an oily t-zone, and I marvel at how much oil suddenly appears on my nose during the rains, and well, Murphy’s law makes it so this happens just before an interview or date..ugh. Along the way, I’ve found my own balance of a skin care regime that prevents nasty or annoying skin problems. Here are some useful skin tips for monsoon that you could try out!
When it comes to ethnic wear, the Indian sari is a fascinating garment. It is essentially just a long piece of cloth, but the elegance and beauty it can add to almost anyone of all body types is wonderful. For me, when I think of saris synonymous with elegance, I always think of my mom. Ever since she was young, she’s been wearing saris of almost every type, with her own way of draping them so they look just fabulous on her.

First of all, hi there 🙂 I’ve been working on the idea of my very own fashion & lifestyle blog for two years now, and it certainly feels amazing to have finally got here after tons of research, inspiration and hard work.
If I go crazy then will you still call me Superman?
Lyrics: Kryptonite by 3 Doors Down
I’ve always loved reading, since I was a little kid, and I absolutely loved comics too! I’d read them all, right from Superman to Richie Rich to even our local Diamond comics (Chacha Chaudhury had quite the adventurous life :P), Archie, Tintin, Asterix & Obelix, you name it.
