Hi guys! Today I’m going to be reviewing the WiseShe Cheek Contour and Powder Makeup Brush. If the brand sounds familiar, it is! Most of us would know Anamika’s blog WiseShe that became hugely popular around 2007 onwards. After the amazing success of her beauty blog, she has launched her own range of makeup tools! It always makes me happy when bloggers turn entrepreneurs. I hope to do that someday too with fashion! Read on to know what my experience was with this brush.
WiseShe Cheek Contour and Powder Makeup Brush Review
The WiseShe Cheek Contour and Powder Makeup Brush is created as a multipurpose brush for the face. For example you can use it with loose powder to set your foundation, but also use it to apply blush and highlighter in both cream and powder form. So far I’ve tried it with both blush and highlighter.
Claims: Made of synthetic bristles, Made in China and not tested on animals.
Price: Rs. 700/-
Availability: On Amazon.in
Packaging: I loved the packaging of this brush. It’s compact and has a luxe feel in a slim, sleek black box with the WiseShe logo on it. The insides are velvet and the brush is placed on it.
Product: The WiseShe Cheek Contour and Powder Makeup Brush brush is suuuuper soft, feels like my cat’s fur haha. So damn soft! Can’t stop touching it and running it through my fingers. The brush is tapered, which allows for more precise application. The brush handle seems to be made of some wire material instead of the usual wood or plastic. It feels firm to hold and use.
The WiseShe Cheek Contour and Powder Makeup Brush is good for those who have a practiced hand with makeup. I tried it with my contour palette and the colour picks up well with the brush. It doesn’t pick up so much that you end up looking brown or orange, but it doesn’t pick up too little as well. It’s just the right amount and you can blend easily to build up the colour. The bristles feel soft on the face too, so it’s not uncomfortable.
I love wearing highlighter for that subtle or blinding glow depending on whether you’re meeting your friends or your ex 😛 I normally would use a fan brush to apply highlight but this works well too! Dab it onto your powder highlighter. Gently tap it onto your cheekbones. Tada! A lovely wash of highlight appears, just the right amount. I’m looking forward to seeing more from their collection. I think an eyeshadow brush set would be really welcome right about now! If you want to see more about this brush, check out my Instagram story highlight called ‘Makeup and Beauty’.
