Hi loves! Lately I’ve been discovering a lot of new and upcoming natural beauty brands that emphasize on natural ingredients and cruelty-free manufacturing. How many times have we turned to our moms and grandmoms for some quick fixes from the kitchen when that unexpected zit randomly appears just before a much-anticipated date. Or when there aren’t any face packs or masks at home and you just have to pamper yourself.
Now there are brands who take that concept and bring you products gently formulated around the same idea of nature’s best. Veda Earth is one that uses the wisdom of ancient Ayurveda and aromatherapy for products like essential oils, scrubs, masks, lotions and more. Recently though, they launched the Veda Earth Lounge, where you can actually relax and experience vegan beauty spa treatments.
In the heart of the city in 4th T Block, Jayanagar, VedaEarth Lounge is a welcome retreat away from the craziness – once you enter, you’re transported.
A lovely lounge greets you, with friendly and welcoming staff at the reception. The whole place is done up in wood and pretty paintings, and you can check out the VedaEarth products on display as well. I opted for the Relief Pedicure while my mom and partner on the blog opted for the Stress-Free Soothe massage.
Relief Pedicure At VedaEarth
The Relief Pedicure is the perfect end for a stressful week, or when you want to switch off from technology and get pampered. Well, I did one of those 😛
They have an inner room that’s specially for hand and foot care, though a tad small. The lady who took care of me was kind enough to explain each step. I loved the way they’d arranged all these natural powders, scrubs and other ingredients for the pedicure in an adorable banana leaf shaped tray. The nailpolish they use are also from cruelty-free, vegan brands.
After running a warm foot soak for my feet, she started by adding a few drops of tea tree oil to the bath water. Tea tree essential oil acts as a disinfectant for the feet and has healing properties. After this, she added some natural Neroli bath salts that smelled amazing and I let my feet soak in this for a while. It was bliss for my tired feet from that crazy week with work and events.
After the usual filing, shaping and cuticle trimming, she applied a kaolin clay foot pack using a brush. Kaolin clay helps exfoliate and remove dead skin cells and sucks out all the germs, impurities and dirt from your pores. A few minutes later, she gently washed off the pack and patted my feet dry with a towel to reveal smooth, glowing skin!
The final step was my favourite. Wintergreen oil both provides pain relief and helps tone skin, and lavender oil is a known stress-reliever. It’s also one of my favourite scents in the world. I got a very relaxing foot massage with a mixture of these two oils from VedaEarth which targeted every aching muscle in my calves and feet.
After one final foot scrub, my feet were washed thoroughly and dried, and I chose my nail polish shade of choice – dark pink. I felt like she could have used toe separators but it was applied very well.
Stress-Free Soothe Massage at VedaEarth
My mom opted for the Stress-Free massage at VedaEarth – she had been traveling and wanted something that would soothe her tired muscles from all the walking and sleeping in trains. The massage therapist deftly worked her way to massage all her tired muscles and joints using VedaEarth’s in-house oils of rosemary, neroli and ylang-ylang. It was like getting rid of all the craziness and stress of her schedule and at the end washing it all away. VedaEarth’s cleansing shampoo did wonders to her hair as well in her post-massage shower.
If you’re planning to try any of their essential oils, try their geranium one. I have it and I add a few drops to my bath water. It’s wonderful for my stress, and also creates a calm atmosphere at home. Beauty products with this oil as an ingredient helps in treating acne as well.
Personally, I’m glad that the vegan beauty spa concept is slowly gaining more popularity because there’s so much we can find within nature that can help in our health and beauty. The VedaEarth Lounge is definitely a place you should check out if you’re longing for a good pampering session, or just to check out their vegan, cruelty-free certified products.
