As a person who doesn’t like to spend a lot of time at the salon, facials are a gift I give to myself from time to time when I really want to chill and be pampered as much as possible. And whenever I go for a facial or any luxury beauty treatment for that matter, I like experimenting. So when I heard that Bodycraft salon had a new luxury caviar facial on the menu, I knew I had to try it. Read on to know what my experience was!
The recently rebuilt Bodycraft salon in Indiranagar is lovely. It’s a huge space that offers so many amazing services for hair, nails and more. There are different sections and stations catering to each type of service as well. Before every appointment, the reception staff hand you a questionnaire to assess which service would be ideal for you based on your unique features. I have dry skin with an oily T-zone, so the luxury caviar facial was an ideal choice for me, followed by an undereye treatment to soothe my tired eyes.
Honestly I was a little skeptical at first, because caviar is basically fish eggs – a delicacy in Europe. But what they actually do is use products from an international luxury beauty brand called Ainhoa that has caviar extract. It’s called the Luxe Treatment, and it uses luxury beauty products. The caviar used in the extract comes from sturgeon eggs from the Caspian Sea. It regenerates and renews skin cells and improves skin texture.
Luxury Caviar Facial at Bodycraft Salon and Spa
The facial room was well-lit and there was calming music playing in the background. My aesthetician first thoroughly cleansed my face of all traces of makeup, and then applied cleansing milk and it felt wonderful on my skin.
She let it stay on my face for about 10 minutes after which it was washed off and my face wiped.
Next was a gentle toner to remove any traces of oil which made my skin feel squeaky clean! She also did a facial steam and removed any blackheads that may have been there.
I sat back, waiting for the caviar magic to begin, when my aesthetician brought out the first part – the Ainhoa Caviar Renewal Cream which she applied in spots on my skin.
There was no particular smell of the cream as such and it went on not too oily or rich but somewhat light on me. She massaged it in expert strokes into my face, which completely relaxed me.
Once the cream was fully absorbed into my skin, it was time for the final step – the Luxe Cellular Complex Facial Mask. This mask is the final step in the luxury caviar facial. She applied it gently with a brush all over my face and let it set for 15-20 minutes. It had a slight cooling effect on my skin and had a very silky texture.
Finally, she washed off the mask and my skin felt incredibly soft and so clean. I’ll show you the after effects once I tell you about the undereye treatment.
I don’t have very obvious dark circles but like everyone else, I do have them. Especially since I started blogging, my sleep has kind of reduced managing both my job and the blog. After an especially demanding week I was happy to indulge and get this done. A very cooling gel was applied to the area around my eyes and left for a few minutes. Here’s how I looked, happy and fresh out of the entire treatment!
The luxury caviar facial has been one of my most interesting luxury beauty experiences so far, and this year I’m going to try and bring you lots more great content around these! I’d strongly suggest trying this out at Bodycraft if you’re in need of some pampering. You can book an appointment here.
