It’s the season to celebrate, indulge and shop till you drop! While I’m usually a total online shopper, I still occasionally love going to malls at this time of the year. It’s mostly to check out the gorgeous decor, the offers in store and all the delicious food! Recently, 1 MG Lido Mall which is known for having some of the best brands in the country, from H&M to Aldo, had an amazing fashion show. It was the 4th edition of the ‘Beautiful One’ Fashion Show that they host every year. Read on to know more about all the highlights from the show!
The show first started with an address by Suman Leheri, COO of 1 MG Lido Mall. He praised the event on how it has seen so much success in the past few years, and kickstarted the show after a few fun announcements.
1 MG Lido Mall gave away a trip to Sri Lanka to stay at the world-class Bally’s Casino, a trip to Germany, the keys to a brand new bike and more! This was done through a fun and interactive Q&A with the audience by the emcee.
The show started with a showcase by Fabindia. Fluid silhouettes, gorgeous saris and pretty blouses dominated the runway as they brought out their latest collections. I’ve always loved the brand for its innovations in Indianwear styles and their silk kurtas are oh so gorgeous!
Aldo Shoes had a rather fun and playful show, as they put some of their best handbags and shoes on display. A lot of them were perfect for party looks and some were good for casual wear too. The outfits perfectly complemented them.
Da Milano had some really drool-worthy bags in their presentation which could easily be both casual and glam. The view from the front row gave me some great views of the fine detailing of their bags. On my wishlist for sure!
Global Desi is one of the most fun contemporary fusion fashion brands today, and their show did not fail to disappoint! From tasselled jumpsuits to maxi dresses and patterned skirts with lots of different kinds of prints like indigo and shibori, they had so much to choose from. Especially if you love the Indian haute boheme look.
AND had a really out of the box collection this time. The red statement jacket was my favourite, as was the black pleated skirt and the gorgeous pink ruffle sleeved maxi dress.
The grand finale of the event though, was the ethnicwear collection, Krishna Dembla by Bangalorean celebrity designer Ramesh Dembla. Models strutted down the ramp wearing some truly interesting creations for both men and women, and the showstopper for the show was none other than actress Kriti Kharbanda.
The show was a great success, and I’m looking forward to seeing if there are more such fun events organized by 1 MG Lido Mall in the future too! Head to their website for more info.
In the meantime, stay tuned for my upcoming haul from 1 MG Lido Mall pretty soon! I’m going to be posting those on my Instagram and will do a live unveiling of everything I buy so stay tuned! Follow me on Instagram here.
