Lyrics: Love will come to you by Poets of the Fall
What’s more indulgent and lazy than a delicious brunch on a Sunday afternoon? It’s another feeling entirely to be able to wake up late without worrying about that dratted alarm going off, and to look forward to either doing a lot of exciting things or absolutely nothing at all.
Brunch can be as simple or as elaborate as you’d like, but it’s a time to look forward to. When you discuss everything under the sun over pancakes and sunny side up, it’s all about enjoying the moment and being with your favourite people. Between a mimosa or two, we talk about the week that’s gone past, look forward to a full social calendar for the coming week, laugh about random incidents from everyday and lose track of time. It’s the one time when you don’t check your phone as much or look at your watch.
A brunch outfit is usually something light, breezy, with the right amount of effort put in to looking well put together. Choose pastel colours, whites, and relaxed silhouettes accessorized with your favourite clutch. I fell in love with this Gauri & Nainika dress from their collaboration with Koovs and I think it’s the perfect choice with its on-trend lemon yellow colour and a rather interesting silhouette with the cowl halter neck and the pleating. It has an open back too – great for the season that’s heating up rather fast.
I enjoyed this delicious breakfast platter for brunch at Koramangala Social. The interior looks like a giant greenhouse and is so beautiful to just relax and forget about everything else. This is my first photoshoot with my friend Soham, who’s a food photographer as well. We had a great time just catching up and shooting for this post.
I paired the dress with a pair of strappy grey heels and a pretty suede fringed clutch in a bright blue for a fun contrast.
